The threat of rain loomed over play on Saturday at Olde Providence Racquet Club, but mother nature was friendly and all play went off without issues and completed before the rain came.

The day was filled with competitive and compelling matches in the Men's Singles draw with all matches taking three sets to decide. On Court 4, top-seeded Thomas Brown jumped out fast and won the first set 6-2, but Jordi Castillo fought back taking the second 6-3. It was Brown who took control of the third set tiebreak winning 10-4 and advancing into Sunday's semifinals.

Elsewhere, 2022 Champion Bekhzod Rasamatov fell to Ivan Dreycopp in a hard-fought match on Court 3. After dropping the first set at 5-7, Dreycopp won the second set at 6-4 and parlayed that momentum into the third set tiebreaker, winning 10-5.

In another match that was settled in a third set tiebreaker, Eduardo Dias defeated Matias Iturbe 5-7 6-4 10-7. Much like the other 3 quarterfinal matches, a handful of points separated the two opponents and both struck big shots throughout the match.

In the fourth quarterfinal match, Vasco Prata fought off match points and rallied to defeated Gabe Avram 3-6 6-4 12-10. Fans attending were treated to some great shot making throughout in a match that could have gone either way.

In Men's Doubles Avram/Bompieri defeated Rasamatov/Castillo 3-6 6-1 10-3. The team of Brown/Formar advanced in straight sets while Dreycopp continued his successful day teaming up with Iturbe to defeat Spring/Grasmuck 6-4 6-3. And it was the team of C. Van Wyk/Dias advancing in straight sets.

Semifinal Sunday will begin at 230pm.
