Ivan Dreycopp defeated Vasco Prata 7-5 3-6 1-0(9) to finish third in Stockton Cup 2023 on Monday night.
It was a solid run by both players, particularly Dreycopp who finished third in Singles and a Finalist in Doubles.
Dreycopp is a sophomore at Charlotte and also competed in the 2022 Stockton Cup. The Buenos Aires native logged 29 total wins in his freshman season with the Niners. Dreycopp has reached the main draw of the ITF Futures Main Draw three times.
Meanwhile, Prata is a redshirt sophomore with Charlotte. He is returning after missing the final 20 dual matches of the Niners 2022-23 campaign with a stress fracture in his left hand suffered in January.
The 23-team draw provided exciting tennis on the clay courts of Olde Providence Racquet Club.
