Eduardo Taiguara Costa Dias won the Stockton Cup Men's Singles on Monday night with a 3-6 6-3 1-0(7) over Thomas Brown. It was a thrilling final with some great shot making by both players.

Brown was fast out of the gate playing consistent tennis in the first set from both wings. He was the first to break serve midway through the set, and closed the set out efficiently.

However, in the second, Dias brought his level up and the two players battled with each breaking serve. But it was Dias who strung together key shots to gain control of the set.

In the third-set tiebreaker, Dias jumped out to the early lead and Brown was forced to play from behind throughout. He was able to close the lead but some unforced errors coupled with Dias striking some big shots at crucial times was enough to hold off Brown.

The Final concluded a very competitive Singles Draw that saw five matches, from the quarterfinals to the finals, that went to third-set tiebreakers. Fans were treated to some entertaining and high-intensity tennis at Olde Providence Racquet Club during the five-day event.
