ABOUT STOCKTON CUP
Charlotte has a rich tennis history. From Davis Cup, to team tennis, to tournaments featuring legendary players, the Queen City and Olde Providence Racquet Club have hosted the best. However, recently there has been less of an emphasis on high-quality tennis in Charlotte. So, a couple of coaches from Olde Providence Tennis Academy set out to change that while highlighting a historic past in the process. Thus, Stockton Cup was born.

Former world top-10 player who defeated icons such as Rod Laver, John McEnroe, and Jimmy Connors during his playing career. He won 8 singles titles and 16 doubles championships during his professional career. He has worked with countless Junior players since his retirement from professional tennis.

SLESAREV
Evgeny is the Director of Tennis for Olde Providence Tennis Academy. He was a Top 10 Junior Player in Russia for over 6 years and was an Athlete of the Year. During his college years, he was the # 1 Player for Gardner-Webb University (D1) for 4 consecutive years. As a coach, he was a sparring partner for over 10 ATP and WTA players that were ranked between 400 and 1000 in the World.

Mike is currently a coach with Olde Providence Tennis Academy, and has served as a writer and Digital Managing Editor for several publications. He was a Junior tennis player before playing and coaching basketball. Mike has been a tournament director for a variety of Charlotte area tournaments.
